Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have reportedly agreed to a divorce settlement.
The Jennifer’s Body actress and the Beverly Hills, 90210 star married in 2010, and share three children – Noah, nine, Bodhi, seven, and five-year-old Journey.
In May 2020, Green, 48, announced that he and Fox had separated after nearly 10 years of marriage, and in November that year, the 35-year-old officially filed for divorce.
According to editors at TMZ, lawyers for Green and Fox have now reached a final settlement, with a judge expected to sign off the papers shortly.
In addition, court documents show that the former couple have agreed to joint legal and physical custody of their children, and that Fox will have her original surname officially reinstated.
The Hollywood stars have both moved on following the split. Green is dating Dancing with the Stars professional Sharna Burgess, while Fox is in a relationship with musician/actor Machine Gun Kelly.
Scarlett Johansson Shares Honest Feelings On Black Widow Lawsuit Drama
Scarlett Johansson’s legal battle with Disney was arguably one of the biggest stories within the Hollywood sphere over the past year. It was first reported back in July that the Oscar-nominated actress was suing The Walt Disney Company for breach of contract in regard to the simultaneous theatrical/streaming release of Black Widow. For a while, both sides made assertions about the other and, in October, it was reported that the case had been settled. Now, following the drama, Johansson is sharing some honest feelings on the situation and her position in the entertainment industry.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe alum was recently honored with the American Cinematheque Award. The ceremony included tributes from a number of her colleagues, like the F-bomb flinging Robert Downey Jr. It was also a time for the star to reflect on her past and look towards her future. Ahead of the proceedings, the Associated Press caught up with her and asked about her decision to sue Disney. The Natasha Romanoff actress responded by discussing the importance of knowing one’s worth and addressing the changing landscape within the entertainment realm:
Scarlett Johansson is correct in her assertion that Hollywood is steadily undergoing changes on this front. These days, many stars feel empowered to take action if they believe they’re not getting what they believe they’re due. Johansson’s situation certainly represents one of the high-profile instances in which such a situation has occurred. With this, some believe that this could set a precedent for other talent working with Disney (or any other studio) down the line. And should it happen again, one would hope that it doesn’t become as heated as Johansson and Disney’s conflict.
Shortly after news of the lawsuit was first reported, Disney responded, calling the actress’ actions “callous” in the midst of the ongoing pandemic. The star’s talent agency soon clapped back, accusing the company of “shamelessly and falsely” accusing her of being insensitive to the global health crisis. Other entities also chimed in on the situation like the Screen Actors Guild, which came to the defense of the Marriage Story star.
Specific details on the agreement the two sides made in order to resolve the lawsuit have not been made available. Scarlett Johannson did, however, release a statement shortly after the two sides patching things up, saying that she was “happy” that they could find common ground. She also expressed her desire to continue working with the company for the foreseeable future.
At the moment, it would seem that the starlet is already actively working on her next projects with the House of Mouse. Before the lawsuit, it was already reported that she was developing a Tower of Terror movie with the studio, which is seemingly still in development. Marvel fans will also be excited to know that she’s set to serve as a producer on a new MCU project — one that isn’t connected to Black Widow. It’ll be interesting to see what she cooks up with the company as well as how her legal battle impacts the film and TV business moving forward.
US-Iraqi beauty mogul Mona Kattan gets engaged
Friends and fans flooded US-Iraqi beauty mogul Mona Kattan’s Instagram account on Saturday, after the Huda Beauty global president announced her engagement to Dubai-based businessman Hassan El-Amin.
“Forever Ever,” Kattan captioned a carousel of images posted late on Friday night, showing the Kayali fragrance founder posing with a diamond ring on her finger and alongside her soon-to-be husband.
Influencers, beauty entrepreneurs and celebrities took to Kattan’s comments section to send their well wishes.
According to El-Amin’s LinkedIn account, he is the head of facultative at Middle East and Africa at Aon Reinsurance Solutions and relocated to Dubai after studying at Cass Business School in London and graduating with a Masters of Science.
It seems Kattan’s new fiancé is as family-focused as she is — he even runs an Instagram account together with his two siblings called @the.elamins.
The siblings feature heavily in the carousel of images shared by Kattan, with snaps including both Sally and Ahmed El-Amin.
With a background in graphic design and illustrating, Sally boasts a portfolio of clients that includes Huda Beauty, leading some to speculate that she could be the link between the loved-up couple.
The good news tops off a busy year for Kattan, who, alongside her sister Huda, announced a number of new investments and initiatives in 2021.
In the summer, the sister duo announced Ketish as the first brand to be launched by Huda Beauty Angels — which falls under HB Investments, their venture capital firm. Ketish, a feminine care label, is spearheaded by Eman Abbass, a former Huda Beauty product developer.
Since then, Mona has focused heavily on the sisters’ fragrance range, Kayali, of which she is the founder and creative head.
The latest Kayali product was launched this week and is called Eden Juicy Apple — a “playful, vibrant and super juicy” scent that is based on “crisp and juicy red apples, sweet berries and fresh floral notes,” according to the brand.
In October, Kayali won the coveted Niche Product of the Year prize at the Beautyworld Middle East Awards for its Sweet Diamond Pink Pepper fragrance.
CNN fires Chris Cuomo over help he gave to governor brother
CNN fired veteran anchor and correspondent Chris Cuomo, the cable news channel said Saturday, during an investigation into his involvement with helping defend his brother, former New York governor Andrew Cuomo, against sexual misconduct allegations.
Chris Cuomo had been suspended from CNN over the matter just days before his termination.
“We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately,” a statement posted to CNN’s official communications Twitter account said.
“While in the process of that review, additional information has come to light.”
The termination comes after documents surfaced showing that Cuomo, who anchored the 9:00 p.m. news slot, offered advice to his politician brother that was deemed too close for comfort by his employer.
“The documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions,” a CNN spokesperson said Tuesday, adding they “point to a greater level of involvement in his brother’s efforts than we previously knew.”
“He’s my brother. And if I can help my brother, I do. If he wants me to hear something, I will. If he wants me to weigh in on something, I’ll try,” Chris Cuomo, 51, told investigators in July when asked about the counsel he had offered.
“He’s my brother, and I love him to death no matter what.”
Democrat Andrew Cuomo was elected governor three times before resigning in August after New York’s attorney general said an investigation concluded he had sexually harassed at least 11 women.
In October, the former governor — whose father Mario Cuomo had also been governor of New York — was charged with a misdemeanor sex crime for forcible touching.
At the start of the pandemic, the Cuomo brothers soared to new heights of popularity: Andrew, 63, earned praise for his frank daily briefings as the coronavirus ravaged New York, and his live exchanges with Chris on CNN were peppered with banter.
The investigation into Chris Cuomo’s conduct remains ongoing, CNN said.
