Viola Davis is set to release a memoir in April 2022.

In a statement, she said: “I believe that our stories, and the courage to share them, is the most powerful empathetic tool we have. This is my story … straight no chaser.”

‘Finding Me’ will be released in partnership with Ebony Magazine Publishing.

HarperOne president and publisher Judith Curr said in another statement: “Viola Davis is a powerful truth-teller – through her work on stage and screen, as well as in her life. I’m looking forward to working with her on a book that powerfully reveals the risk and danger for a Black woman living in the fullness of her talents and gifts – and the reward and freedom that comes with it.”

Meanwhile, Viola has previously said she is always honest about her own upbringing and the things she has been through while talking to her eight-year-old Genesis, whom she has with her husband Julius Tennon.

The ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’ star said she talks about her own upbringing with Genesis, and reminds her she will definitely “make some big old mistakes” in her life.

She said: “I empower her to understand that she has to count it all as joy. Even her mistakes, her failures, her triumphs, what she looks like, all of it. That’s all a part of her loving herself, even if none of those things change.

“I feel like I’m the mom who has the courage to share her story with her daughter.

“I tell her that she’s going to make some big old mistakes, and that Mommy is not going to have the answers, and sometimes you’re not either. I’m the mom who says, ‘You’re good enough wherever you are, but there’s going to be times when you don’t feel good enough.’ I’m not the mom who’s just going to tell her a bunch of lies about life, because I want her to be the best woman in the room.”

Irina Shayk has dodged questioning over her rumoured relationship with Kanye West.

The Russian supermodel and Stronger rapper, who split from wife Kim Kardashian earlier this year, were first seen together at his birthday party held in Provence, France back in June, but by August, the pair was reported to have parted ways after several months of dating.

Irina was asked if she was in a relationship with Kanye in a new interview with High Snobiety, and while she didn’t flat out deny the speculation, she remained tight-lipped on the topic.

“Tomorrow there is going to be a rumour that I’m dating my doorman, O.K? Then after tomorrow, it’s going to be someone else,” the 35-year-old commented. “Look, there’s always something there, and I’m just keeping it to myself.”

Irina was previously in a relationship with Bradley Cooper from 2015 until 2019, with the former couple co-parenting a four-year-old daughter named Lea.

And in the chat, the fashion star revealed that Bradley is a very hands-on father.

“He’s a full-on, hands-on dad – no nanny,” she stated. “Lea went on holiday with him for almost two weeks – I didn’t call them once.”

Jennifer Garner is “nervous” that her kids have gone back to school, but she is excited that one of them is now a high school student.

The 49-year-old actress is experiencing a range of emotions now that her brood – daughters Violet, 15, and Seraphina, 12, and son Sam, nine, whom she has with her ex-husband Ben Affleck, 49, who is now dating Jennifer Lopez, 52 – have gone back to school following the summer and the COVID-19 lockdown, but she’s looking forward to getting involved in Violet’s high school experience.

Speaking to the new issue of PEOPLE magazine, she said: “”I’m just so happy for them. And I’m nervous and hopeful and grateful. All the things. I feel all of it.

“I love back to school. I’m ready for it. I love high school football games. I loved any high school game. I’m so excited to have a high schooler and to get to go.”

The ‘Yes Day’ star also reveled she is quite the militant mother when it comes to getting her brood prepared for the day at school.

She said: “We’re big on having everything packed the night before.

“Clothes are laid out. The backpacks [are] by the door. Backpacks with computers, there’s a charging station by the door. Backpacks, computers, everything’s already in there and charged for the bigger kids.”

A discordant array of alarms go off in the morning which ensures that the well-prepped set of kids can get to school on time.

Jennifer added: “Phones are already in their charger so that I know they aren’t going to their rooms at night.

“And yeah, just tons of alarms go off just in time to think about going to the bus.”

Iggy Azalea thinks some celebrities were on-theme but still wore “ugly a***” outfits at the Met Gala.

The 31-year-old rap star has revealed via Twitter that her timeline is overflowing with people debating the outfits on show at the fundraiser in New York, and she’s observed that being on-theme and also being well-dressed aren’t mutually exclusive.

Iggy wrote on Twitter: “My timeline basically consists of people trashing celebs met looks and other people thinking they’re highbrow as f*** saying

“You guys don’t know the THEME!”

[laughing emojis]

“It’s possible to be on theme AND still have an ugly a** outfit.

“Both things can be true.

“Everybody wins! (sic)”

Iggy jokingly added that she’ll use the “on-theme” argument to excuse any of her future fashion mishaps.

Speaking about the event’s American Independence theme, Iggy added: “Anyway all I know is moving forward anytime someone thinks I’m ugly or wrong I’m screaming “YOU DONT KNOW THE THEME!” right in their face. (sic)”

Meanwhile, Iggy recently revealed that her latest album, ‘End of an Era’, would be her last for a while, and that, for the time being, she intends to turn her attention towards other ambitions.

The rap star – who recently launched her own make-up brand – tweeted: ““End of an Era” is so special to me because after I drop my album next month iam going to take a few years to focus on other creative projects and things I’m feeling passionate and inspired by, beyond music.

“I’m excited for you guys to see different sides to me in the future.

“Shifting my energy and focus to what I’m most excited about is what is right for me and I hope you’ll continue to support whatever creative projects I’m out here doing! (sic)”
